Privacy Policy
This policy explains how LaNa West collects and uses personal data when you visit www.lanawest.com, complete our Project Feasibility Assessment, book a consultation or otherwise contact us. We wrote it to be read, not just to be compliant. If anything is unclear, email us at admin@lanawest.com.
1. Who we are
The data controller is LaNa West Co., Ltd. (บริษัท ลานา เวสต์ จำกัด), a company registered in Thailand under registration number 0105568167752, with its registered office at 98, 100 Room 403, Soi Charoen Krung 58, Charoen Krung Road, Yan Nawa, Sathon, Bangkok 10120, Thailand. In this policy, "LaNa West", "we" and "us" mean that company.
2. What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, email address and, if you choose phone or WhatsApp, your phone number.
- Project information from the Project Feasibility Assessment: project type, preferred locations, land or site stage, budget range, timeline, main concerns, time spent in Thailand, whether you want a legal or ownership review, and how you prefer to be contacted.
- Answers saved as you go. The assessment saves each answer as you move through it, so our team can prepare for your conversation and so you can pick up where you left off. This means we may receive the answers you gave even if you do not press submit. We use incomplete answers only to understand interest in our services and, if you gave your email, to follow up once about your enquiry.
- How you reached us: the advertising campaign, search term or referring website (for example UTM tags and Google, Microsoft or Meta click identifiers), your landing page, and the date and time of each step.
- Technical and usage data: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and similar data collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).
- Correspondence: emails, messages, call notes and meeting bookings when you contact us.
We do not ask for, and please do not send through the website, passport copies, financial account details or other sensitive information. We will request documents securely if they are needed later in a project.
3. Why we use it and our legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Reviewing your enquiry, assessing project feasibility and replying to you | Steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract; our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries |
| Following up once on an assessment you started but did not finish, if you gave your email | Our legitimate interest in responding to people who have shown interest in our services. You can opt out at any time |
| Delivering services if you appoint us | Performance of a contract |
| Website analytics and measuring which advertising brings enquiries | Your consent where the law requires it (including the EEA, UK and Switzerland); otherwise our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our marketing |
| Keeping business, tax and legal records; protecting our rights | Legal obligation; legitimate interest |
For people in Thailand, these bases correspond to those set out in the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) ("PDPA"). We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects. We do sort enquiries by project fit (for example budget and timeline) so the right person replies first; every enquiry is read by a person.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf and under our instructions, and with advisers where you ask us to involve them:
- Google (Google Workspace, Google Sheets, Apps Script, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads): email, storage of enquiries, website analytics and advertising measurement.
- Webflow: hosting of this website.
- Calendly: if you book a consultation.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): only if we run advertising there, for measuring that advertising, and only with your consent where required.
- Independent professionals such as lawyers, surveyors, engineers and contractors: only when you ask us to coordinate with them on your project.
- Authorities where we are legally required to disclose information.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland these do not set analytics or advertising cookies unless you click Accept; before that, Google may receive limited cookieless signals (Google Consent Mode) that cannot be used to identify you. Elsewhere, measurement is on by default and you can turn it off by clicking Decline.
The Project Feasibility Assessment also stores your progress and the campaign you arrived from in your browser's local storage so you can continue later. This is part of the service you are using and is not used for advertising. Clearing your browser data removes it.
You can change your cookie choice at any time:
6. International transfers
We are based in Thailand and our service providers may store data in the United States, the European Union and other countries. Where data leaves the country you are in, we rely on safeguards recognised by the applicable law, such as the provider's standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions, and we choose providers with recognised security standards.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and assessment answers, submitted or not: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client.
- Client and project records: for the duration of the engagement and as long afterwards as Thai law requires for accounting, tax and professional records.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months.
After that we delete or anonymise the data.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or transfer it to someone else. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect what we did before. You can always ask us to stop contacting you.
To use any of these rights, email admin@lanawest.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to a data protection authority: in Thailand the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC), in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), or in the EEA or Switzerland the authority where you live or work.
9. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled business accounts. Only the LaNa West team members who need it to handle your enquiry can see it. No system is completely secure, so please contact us at once if you think your data has been put at risk.
10. Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use data you already gave us, we will tell you directly.
